Chris Turner RMP® Broker in Charge
Meet Our Broker-in-Charge and Director: Eric Wetherington, MPM RMP
Chris Turner has been investing in real estate since 1993. He began buying and renting homes while stationed in Alaska with the US Air Force. Originally from Greenville, SC he decided to move back to South Carolina and settled in the Columbia area. He began purchasing rental properties and handled the management, maintenance and screening of tenants himself. Over the years he’s learned many lessons while managing his own real estate investments. Chris applies the lessons he’s learned to keep his clients from making those same mistakes.
Chris decided to start his own company in 2008, Turner Properties in Columbia, with the hopes of being better positioned to serve his clients. Chris has attended numerous seminars regarding rental management. He hold the Residential Management Professional designation from the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM®). There are very few agents with this designation in the market. The RMP® designation requires online and classroom education, 100 unit years of experience managing residential real estate, letters of recommendation from current designation holders and clients and volunteer service to NARPM®.
Shannon Rae Daugherty Operations Manager

Shannon joined the New Heights Property Management team in December 2019 as the Operations Manager. She has 15 years of management experience in the multifamily industry.
Shannon moved to Charleston, SC in 2019 and was married in October 2020. She and her husband have 3 grown boys, 1 grown daughter and 1 grandbaby. They also have three furry children that enjoy spending time with mom and dad at the beach or at the local restaurants. Shannon enjoys travel, the beach, food and cooking, her family and of course, the furry kids!

Anna has been a Property Manager and a New Heights team member for 2 years! In her freetime she loves reading and doing yoga. She is also a photographer on the weekends. She loves making people smile and making the most of each day. She loves traveling although she can never decide between the beach and the mountains since they are both her happy places. She hopes to travel more in the future and cannot wait to see where life takes her!

Nathan DiGiacomo is our Accountant. He worked as an Office Manager for over 10 years and a Staff Accountant for 3 years before joining New Heights in October 2019. He moved to the Charleston area with his wife Molly in 2016 after graduating from Ohio State University. In his free time, he enjoys reading a good book, playing tennis and basketball, and tracking his family's genealogy.

Jake has been with New Heights since 2012 and has many years of experience in electrical and plumbing work. His favorite part of his job is being able to meet new people. He likes working for New Heights because they always focus on providing great service to their customers and clients.
Born and raised in Charleston, Jake enjoys hunting, fishing and being outdoors. When he is not working, you can find Jake spending time with his wife and their 6 children. They enjoy camping together and listening to classic rock around a campfire.

Mandy is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing. She moved to Charleston over 3 years ago and has been in the property management industry for 4 years with experience in multi-family, short-term vacation rentals and now long term residential. Her passion is helping others and her favorite part about property management is making a stressful process as simple and easy as possible for both her clients and tenants. She has two fur babies and enjoys being outdoors, living a healthy lifestyle and spending time with family and friends.

Cris joined the New Heights team in 2022 as our Administrative Assistant, pivoting from 8 years of experience in the logistics sector and bringing along a diligent work ethic. Cris is an avid reader and when not working will devour any books and articles related to history, culture and society, as well as his other passion which is technology and software development.
Emma Wetherington Assistant Property Manager
Meet Emma Wetherington
Emma Wetherington just recently moved to the area from Massachusetts. She is new to the Property Management business and is very excited to see what the future holds for her within our company. When she is not at work, Emma likes to be outside exploring new hiking trails and going on fun adventures with her friends. Emma loves all animals, she enjoys researching and learning all about the different types of animals she comes in contact with. She has two of her own fur babies that she likes to spend a good amount of her free time with as well.

Meet Emmanuel "Frank" Arteaga
Frank has worked in general maintenance for the last 13 years and is an Electrical Engineer. He is a first time father of beautiful Ali, who was born in December 2020. They have 2 dogs, one mixed and one small dachshund. He likes to travel with his wife, go to the beach or go to Arizona simply to eat burgers and go to Golden Corral! He loves to play sports with his friends! Basketball, paddle, slow-pitch ball and fishing are his favorite pastimes. He also loves to cook for his family and friends. Frank enjoys working with and meeting new people and is known for his positive attitude.
Katie Hickman Assistant Property Manager
Meet Katie Hickman
Katie has worked as a carpenter for 4 years before starting property management. That experience has helped her tremendously in working with vendors and tenants. She loves to bake and appreciates a good challenge. She enjoys spending time at the beach with friends and traveling. She married her best friend in June 2019 and they have 3 fluffy dogs. They recently moved to Charleston for the beaches, food, and amazing people who live here.
